Happy chicken & happy peach
Jeanette (wife) and I started to take glyconutrients supplement about 3.5 years ago. Before then we were doing different nutritional business.
That time we were eating lots of fast food still, because it is cheaper than we cook. Our health condition was OK.
As we learn more about food & health, we changed diet & lifestyle gradually. It takes time. Here’s list. Male makes list.
-
White rice -> Organic brown rice
-
Soup with SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) -> No SLS soup
-
Tooth paste => no tooth paste (except kimchee or curry day)
-
Often outside food => Much less and almost no fast food
-
Buy a lot at Safeway or Costco and did not eat all => Buy small amount for organic food (It cost almost same, because less amount)
-
Meat eater => No beef (because of BSE: bovine spongiform encephalopathy), Avoid pork (from: Makers’s diet), Avoid bottom feeder sea food.
I guess it is happened by we recognized more our health value and feel we are buying health with the supplement. I think it is good side effect of taking supplement.
What I’m talking about? Happy chicken & happy peaches.
Wholefoods carry organic chickens. It looks different from regular chicken and taste good. It is more expensive. But we just buy the amount we eat, then it is OK.
Dr. Nugent said he likes peaches. I was not sure, but I tried organic one from farmers’ market. Now I eat peaches & other stone fruits more than rice. It is low-middle glycemic.
Tips for labeling at store:

-
8xxxx (5 digit start with 8): GMO: Genetically-Modified Organisms
-
xxxx (4 digit) : Conventional
Tips at farmer’s market
-
If you see “Organic”, I think it is organic.
-
If you don’t see “Organic”, I think more likely it is not organic.
Why we call happy chicken & happy peaches?
It is because seller or register person seems very happy about what they are selling. I feel it taste good when I eat and remind seller people and feel happy.
So let’s enjoy summer fruits.
